2 Things

First, I found this today on someone else's blog or maybe facebook, now I can't remember. But I must have been stalking somewhere.

 I know so many strong woman, that affected my life deeply. I think sometimes the strongest woman needs to be reminded what makes her strong. So all you strong ladies out there this is for you!

Second, It's the Fourth of July!!!!! Fireworks!!! Well the Fireworks here don't compare to the chaos of Hawaii but I've been hearing popping at night for the past few weeks and just watched the Macy's Spectacular show on tv. (Their name not mine though it was pretty cool) I'm so proud to be an American. I don't think I even have the words for it. All I can say is I tear up at the songs, cry at the site of a uniform, feel the need to applaud when I see one in the airport, get extremely angry/argumentative/defensive if you say ANYTHING against my country or those fighting for my country. We may have our own issues but we still by far stand for so much and are so grand.

A view of the Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor as you are heading back on the boat. So many have died for our freedom. I don't care who you are, where you are, or what you believe. If you live in America or are American THAT should mean something to you.

I mean really how extremely true is that!!! Unless you don't like chocolate or are allergic to it then I am very sad for you. So now I am going to make this quote even more true by eating some chocolate in hopes that it makes my night even the tiniest bit better. 

A Quote for Monday

I'm not sure who said this but I like it. It's nice to hear and see that an imperfection can be beautiful. I can be a little bit of a perfectionist. If I have an idea how something should look and it doesn't end up that way I get annoyed. The past few weeks I've been a little harsh on myself for my imperfections, mostly with the same old one that everyone gets harsh with. Weight. (Isn't it like a dirty word?)  What I see is imperfect and while I know no one is perfect I don't see what I want or think I should. This quote was a nice reminder that my imperfections are beautiful and that even my craziness is good.

Don't be your own worst critic. Remember your imperfections (usually so called imperfections) are beauty.

You never know your full strength until you are tested. The thing is getting tested is never fun. It's hard, draining, tiring, emotional, and makes you want to throw your hands up in the air and stomp your feet. But after the test is over, the sky is clear, and everything falls into place you realize just exactly how strong you are and what you overcame because you persisted and started over.


I really do love quotes. The deep meaning and simple truth of a quote can be so comforting. It can also sting but we won't think about that part right now. I haven't posted a lot about my 2011 plans recently and I wanted to say I am still working on them.
-I am looking for a non fiction book to actually completely finish in a decent amount of time!
-For my next decorating project I need fabric and some small frames. (A trip to Joanns is in the works)
-Eating healthy... Yeah,not so much this past week but I have realized my errors and will be correcting them!

A tough Reminder

I was reminded how true this quote is this week in a hard way. It is never fun to learn that someone you love and trusted doesn't want you in their life. Doesn't deem you worth it. It's no fault of your own but that doesn't make the hurt or reminder any easier. I was also reminded of this quote in a good way this week because I have people around me stepping up and trying to help any way they can because they want me in their life. Hard things always show your true friends.
